Heart Monitor Story

September 07, 2022

Every year the South Huron Hospital Association presents the South Huron Hospital Foundation with a list of funding needs for equipment purchases and facility updates. In 2022-23 the initial list included $750,000+ in needs, which included $250-$350,000 for new Cardiac Telemetry Monitors for both the Inpatient and Emergency Departments.

Cardiac Monitors are used all day, every day (and night) at South Huron Hospital, and the current equipment at South Huron has reached end-of-life, which means it needs to be replaced. Cardiac Monitors are critical to the every-day care of patients in the hospital.

Hear Chief Nursing Executive, Michelle Wick, explain why new Cardiac Monitors are such a high priority for the South Huron Hospital right now. We thank donors sincerely for supporting all the priority needs in 2022-2023, including our new fleet of Telemetry Monitors. Watch the story here:
