Heart Monitor Story

Every year the South Huron Hospital Association presents the South
Huron Hospital Foundation with a list of funding needs for equipment
purchases and facility updates. In 2022-23 the initial list included
$750,000+ in needs, which included $250-$350,000 for new Cardiac
Telemetry Monitors for both the Inpatient and Emergency Departments.
Cardiac
Monitors are used all day, every day (and night) at South Huron
Hospital, and the current equipment at South Huron has reached
end-of-life, which means it needs to be replaced. Cardiac Monitors are
critical to the every-day care of patients in the hospital.
