Planned Gift
A planned gift is a significant donation that is arranged in the present, and fulfilled at a future date. These contributions most often come through a bequest left in a will or trust, but gifts are also made through:
- insurance policies, naming a charity as a beneficiary
- registered savings plan, adding a charity as a beneficiary
- gifts of appreciated securities
- gifts of property
Planned gifts are most often granted once the donor has passed, but sometimes these gifts begin during life, potentially providing tax benefits to the donor and their estate (as advised by a Professional Financial Planner and/or Legal Advisor).
Planned gifts ensure that the South Huron Hospital Foundation can meet the ongoing and future needs of the South Huron Hospital. Our vision is to fund the healthcare of our community’s future, and planned gifts ensure we will be able to fulfill this mission. To discuss how your planned gift will greatly impact the future of healthcare right here at home, please set up a meeting with our foundation office. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about planned giving.
